False Killer Whale Naming Contest We need your help! We have two False Killer Whale friends, and we don’t have names for them! To win this contest, you need to submit:
1. A name for one of the False Killer Whales 2. A story - that includes how the False Killer Whale got its name, how it travels around Hawaii’s waters, and at least five facts about the endemic Hawaiian population of False Killer Whales.
Entries will be judged based on how well the story supports the name of the False Killer whale, creativity, accuracy of facts, grammar and conventions. One winner will be chosen from each of the two categories: grades 3-5 or grades 6-8. Entries are due by May 30th to Mokupapapa Discovery Center. Entries may also be submitted through email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will be posting the winners’ names and stories on our website, and will feature them in Mokupapapa Discovery Center. The winners will also win a three-gallon mini-aquarium for his or her class!
Entries can be submitted by a whole class or by an individual student. Please include in your entry: school name, teacher name, grade level, and student name(s).
