Hui Malama hosts regular Science Cafes!

What is a Science Cafe?

Picture
Science Cafes are catching on like crazy across the nation.  They can take a variety of forms, but the main purpose of a Science Cafe is to get scientists and people from the community together to just talk about current issues and topics that interest them.  At Hui Malama, we use an informal, casual format.  After a brief introduction, people are encouraged to move around the cafe, mingle, and chat with the different scientists who are spread about the room.  There are always lots of pictures, animated discussions, maps, hands-on displays, cutting-edge research, and great people.  Oh yeah, there are also always some yummies available for a small donation.
